"Growing up I spent most of my time outdoors. I also had a great affinity for art, so when I discovered plein air painting I knew it would be at the core of my life forever. In the mid-1970’s I lived mostly in Mexico teaching myself how to paint. I worked mostly in isolation until I met members of the OAK group decades later, and immediately knew I had located my tribe.
Every time I head out to paint I feel awe, joy, excitement, and gratitude in having the opportunity to share those feelings with the world. To work with the OAK group and partner with organizations fighting to preserve outdoor spaces is an honor."
